New Look 6298 Hooded Dress

Finished Project ;New Look 6298 View C.

This is my second version of New Look6298, I've posted first version before. First version is completely different from this.
I added a hood, length and changed the pocket pattern. I drew those pattern myself. I raised the neckline by about 3cm for add a hood. They are more suitable for this design.

If you make a hooded dress version, click the image: you can see original size.

When I make clothes I don't follow instructions because I like thinking about procedure and design...My husband says I'm just lazy. I may like preparation better than sewing, and I especially like thinking about design, choosing fabrics, making plans, etc.

I used a jacquard sweat that I purchased from my local shop, it feels so soft. I love it and make me comfortable.

 Fabric: 75" 2 3/8
Total time spent: 7hours

I absolutely love this! I have been thinking about making a long hoodie dress in a sweatshirt fleece type of fabric and couldn't find any sort of pattern that would work and then I see yours! Perfect! You say you lengthen view C. Can you explain how to do that for me? Are you just continuing the angle down until you get to the length you want? As for the hood-are you cutting 4 of the same piece out and then sewing them together-is that right? I would really appreciate any help you could give. I just found your blog and love your style-especially all the skirts and dresses!

      > Yes, I cut view C but I added to the length of skirts.

      >That's right! I cut the 4 pieces and sewed the right side (2 pieces) and wrong side (2 pieces) together. If you use a VERY thick fabric, you can omit to make the parts of wrong side.

This hooded dress was the second time that I used the pattern. I didn't change the length of the first version (view C): here(https://catwardrobe.blogspot.jp/2015/12/new-look-6298-braided-collar.html)
I am glad if my post helps your project. If you have any questions, please let me know (and your name too). Thank you.

Thank you so much for getting back to me! Sorry didn't know how to do the profile thing except to select anonymous, but my name is Gina. Oh and I think planning for the projects is one of the best parts of sewing as well!
So when you add to the length of the skirt do you continue the same angle down? That's what I was wanting to know. Thanks!

    1. Hi, Gina!
Sorry, I don't remember the details. However, I think it's almost the same angle. I didn't want to make an A-line dress, I narrowed the width of skirts a little bit.
I hope that your project will goes well:) Thank you.
